*Writing a wedding review from my husband's account :)* I dreaded picking a hair and makeup artist for my wedding and as someone who rarely wears makeup, I had no idea where to start. I delayed and delayed, which led me to a bit of a time crunch. Thankfully, Michael Fels Beauty was available and one of the best choices I made for my wedding. From the very beginning, Michael made me feel completely at ease. During my consult, he asked what my worries were right away, really listened, and then put a clear plan in place to address them. That level of care and professionalism immediately gave me confidence that I was in the right hands. He also gave a real take on how many artists I would need for the number of people I wanted services for, whereas it felt like some other places I contacted were trying to sell me when they may not have enough people to get the job done right. My makeup artist was Suzanne, and she was absolutely wonderful. I was nervous about my makeup looking cakey or flaky, especially because I normally don’t wear skin makeup and I’ve honestly never liked how it’s looked on me in the past when I've been in weddings. At my trial, I was genuinely blown away. My skin looked glowy, fresh, and natural, exactly what I had hoped for but didn’t think was possible for me. I even wore the makeup for my bridal shower in 30-degree heat and it held up beautifully all day, which felt like a miracle. On the wedding day, it was just as perfect. My makeup looked amazing from start to finish, photographed beautifully, and still felt like me. Suzanne was also so kind, genuine, and calming to be around. It was a pleasure talking with her at my trial and on wedding morning. My hair was done by Jiya, and she was every bit as kind and talented as Suzanne. She was so warm, down to earth, and easy to be with, and she absolutely nailed the look! The trial was a super helpful experience and well worth the money because it let me see what I liked and what I wanted tweaked, without any pressure. After the trial, Michael did a great job soliciting feedback and making sure every detail was noted so that on the wedding day everything would be perfect. I appreciated how seamlessly the team integrated my feedback. There was no awkwardness, no resistance, just a clear goal of getting everything exactly how I wanted it. On the wedding day, I truly loved my hair and makeup. Everything was perfect. The team was also amazing with my friends and family members. Everyone felt comfortable and happy. The results were consistently natural and pretty without being over the top. They were efficient and organized, and with the help of an additional artist who kept things moving, we were all ready on time without feeling rushed. Thank you for the hair and makeup for my sister Ivy's wedding! Michael and his assistant had such great senses of humour and were super fun and comforting to be around for the process of becoming "ourselves but better".

I hated planning a wedding and got to a point where I was purely hiring vendors on vibes because I was so tired of researching and planning and comparing.... When I first met with Michael, I knew his stunning work spoke for itself but it was truly his energy and vibes that made me go, "yep, gonna need this man right here on wedding day." Fast forward to wedding day, I was a mess - tired, emotional and overwhelmed and the way Michael and his entire team (shout out to Presley, Jiya and Carley) brought lightness, and joy and positivity and fun to the morning, was everything! They were prepared to work with all hair types and textures and made all my girls look so beautiful. Easily one of the best decisions I made for myself that day. Also - come on, he made this rag doll look like a god damn princess. 15/10 recommend Michael and team. Just so thankful!

We were so pleased with Michael and his team. Everything was clear and professional from the beginning. The morning of was exactly how I wanted it; calm, warm and positive. Our wedding guests couldn’t stop asking who our makeup artists and hair stylists were and I’ve truly never felt so beautiful! Highly recommend Michael!

Lovely, personable, caring team! There were a few of us in the party who were apprehensive about getting made up too “cakey” and the Fels Team knocked it out of the park! Not too cakey, just the perfect amount of makeup to enhance our features, make us picture perfect, and the makeup lasted through quite a bit of tears on the big day. What an amazing experience! Michael did my hair and make-up for my recent wedding. I am pretty low maintenance, and dont wear makeup on a daily basis. I wanted to look beautiful for our wedding, but was concerned I wouldn’t look like me. I completely lucked out finding Michael. I can’t say enough. He took the time to understand what I wanted and what I was comfortable with. He is extremely professional. He made the process so enjoyable. I did a trial prior to the wedding to ensure I was comfortable. It was relaxing and fun, and made the wedding day so much more enjoyable , as I knew I could hand this over to Michael and everything would be perfect! It was! I felt amazing!!! Thank you Michael!!!

Michael and his team did a phenomenal job for my wedding day in October: if I could give him and his team more than five stars, I would. Almost everyone getting their makeup and hair done was a woman of colour (with different complexions) and everyone had different skin types. Michael and his entire team were fun and professional. All seven of us felt absolutely beautiful. Throughout our dancing, crying, and sweating, our makeup held up for over 11 hours. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup on my wedding day and when I shared photos. I cannot recommend Michael and his team ENOUGH for bridal and wedding party hair and makeup.

What can I say? From first contact to my wedding day, Michael was amazing!! He was friendly, fun, and completely professional. Every little detail was attended to and, he made us all look so beautiful. I highly recommend Michael for your wedding or any special event that you need his talents. 5+ *****

I had a great experience with Michael and his team (Jay & Karla). They made the whole experience easy and fun during the trial and on the day of my wedding reception. After my trial, I made a few tweaks to my hair/make up and Michael was super accommodating. Michael sent out a wedding day prep guide to my bridal party which was really helpful. I had 7 people get their hair/make up done - everyone looked amazing and they were so happy with the services they received. Michael also provided a touch up kit for me, which I didn't need to use because my hair and make up looked amazing the whole day and night. I would highly recommend Michael and his team to anyone looking for amazing glam!

I would recommend Michael and his team 1000%!! We booked them to do hair and makeup for my daughter's wedding on October 5th, 2025. They worked on 7 ladies in total, including the bride. We were all women of colour except for one. Everything about our experience was fun from beginning to end. Michael communicated with us before the event, so everyone knew what to expect the day of. They also did a trial run on the bride, which I already thought was amazing, but then Michael trumped all that with the actual wedding day hair and makeup he did on the bride! I admire the team's professionalism. They arrived on time and collaborated so well as a team. This made the actual session relaxing and fun. I am the Mother of The Bride. Tessi worked magic with my makeup and turned me into a younger and prettier version of myself and not like a different person at all. I valued this the most because I did not want to look like someone I didn't recognize. I did not have to touch up my makeup, not even once, and I was still flawless by the end of the evening even after dancing my legs off. As for my hairstyle, Nazzi was amazing, and I loved my upsweep. The curls lasted all night. Everyone in the bridal party was beyond pleased with their hair and makeup, and we received countless compliments all evening 😊. Thanks, guys!! I will book you again as soon as I have another chance to knock some socks off!!!

Michael and his team worked with my neice's wedding this past Sunday Oct 5th. They were amazing, so friendly, fun, and easy going most importanly they did a fantastic job with myself (aunt ) and the entire wedding party. Tisa was awesome with my make-up, it was flawless and Nazzi oh she preformed magic with my hair and made an updo that I had no idea could be done. I was beyond pleased and thrilled how beautiful I looked. I would highly recommed them and the team for your wedding and any other special ocassion.

We had the best experience with this team for our wedding! Michael did my hair and makeup, and we also had Ekaterina, Jay, and Orin doing makeup for my bridesmaids. Everyone looked and felt absolutely fabulous. I was a little worried about the 35-degree heat since most of our day was outdoors, but my hair and makeup held up perfectly — I had so many compliments on how fresh everything still looked hours later. The team was professional, talented, and so easy to work with. I can’t thank them enough for helping us feel our best on such a special day!

He was responsive and supportive throughout the entire process, and his beauty guides and timelines made it so easy to stay on track in the months leading up to the wedding. Michael was an absolute magician. We booked him for our corporate photoshoot; he took the time to understand exactly what we wanted for our look, and he had the skills to pull it off. He was also a complete professional and fit in seamlessly with the vibe of our “getting ready” morning. Michael will definitely be my first call the next time I need hair and makeup services!

Michael was amazing! He was warm, friendly and professional, flexible when the timeline changed at the last minute, and actually made me look (and feel) like a better version of myself.

Michael is the best of the best! Michael took his time to get to know me and he genuinely understood my wedding vision. He made me feel very seen, heard, and supported throughout the whole process. I felt so calm and excited going into the big day knowing he was on my beauty team. When the big day arrived, Michael and his team provided hair and makeup for the entire bridal party. But the moment that stands out the most to me was when he handed me the mirror to take my "first look" at myself - I had never looked so beautiful in my whole life. I took my breath away - how many times in your life can you say that?? My look stayed put all night - Michael had prepared a touch up kit for me - but I didn't even use it. At 2am after dancing and celebrating all night long, I looked perfection! I would recommend Michael highly to anyone looking for 5-star glam!!
